Every fall, CF Evans employees come together to celebrate the successes of the past year, and recognize team members who went above and beyond to help us achieve our goals. This year we met on October 20th in North Charleston, SC. Employees heard from Johnny Evans, President & CEO, who discussed the current state of the company, the economy, and what he is looking forward to in the coming year. Rusty Porter, Vice President of Preconstruction, provided a high-level view of the work we are looking at for 2018 and addressed the potential impact the recent hurricanes and wildfires could have on our industry. Our Director of Construction and Senior Project Managers updated the crowd on our projects and recognized their teams for the hard work and effort they have put in over the last year. The Construction Technology and Information Technology departments told the group about upcoming implementations and changes as they work to keep us operating as efficiently as possible. We also had an update on our charitable giving initiatives. After a delicious BBQ lunch, six employees were recognized for their commitment to our company core values:
Dedication – Kayla Miles (Accounts Payable Adminstrator)
Integrity – Bobby Washington (Assistant Superintendent)
Teamwork – Carl Quick (IT Manager)
Respect – Alex Bussinah (Estimator)
Partner Relationships – Carl Byars (Preconstruction Manager)
CF Evans also recognizes the employee who has had a stellar record in safety and works tirelessly to ensure that safety is a state of mind. This year’s Champion of Safety award went to Randy Compton (Superintendent).
Lastly, the employee who most embodies the ideals and values of our customer service program is awarded the Clarence F. Evans Experience Award, named after our founder. Janet Peek, Construction Administrator, was awarded this honor for 2017.
As our employees spend most of the year on their jobsite(s), it is important for us to take the time to bring everyone together, reinforce our goals, and celebrate all we have achieved together.
